hi guys i rang up rocket industrys after an arp stud kit for the little a15 and i quoted:
head p/n: 202-4203
conrod p/n: 102-6002
main p/n: 202-5401a and apparently the main part number is wrong, arp doesnt have a listing for the a series but it will come up with nissan a series for the conrod and head stud numbers.
if anybody could help i need to order the by tomorow afternoon so its pretty urgent. maybe should i try fabre or vpw?
thanks kurt

That's correct. ARP knows their stuff, and they don't have Main bearing cap bolts kit for Nissan A-series engines.

Some guys use the ARP main bolts for BMC A-series engine in their Datto motors.

Are you after main cap STUDS [recomended] or main cap capscrews [aka bolts]?

By using a sample main cap capscrew you can measure out the length & add a suitable amount for a nut & washer. Naturally you also need to measure the diameter & the existing threadform which will be a standard metric size anyway.

With these dimensions it may well be possible to select a suitable stud from their range.

I have main cap studs but
A. I cant find then after a quick 'blokes' look.
B. I have not yet fitted them to confirm that they are the correct ones.

hi guys. Yes dodgeman im after a mains stud kit not a bolt kit. I recieved my head stud kit and conrod bolts today. The L series number is different but only by the last number so ill try without the a on the end. Has anybody got an L series main bolt they could measure for me? Thanks

called nissan today both the a-series and the l-series both use part number 12293-18001 for the main cap bolts, so in reply you can use the arp main stud kit #202-5401 on either an a-series engine or l-series engine.

So let's see: The A-series already uses main studs that are strong enough for an L-series engine.

Then why bother to buy the ARP studs?
