weber or efi or motorbike carbys

im not sure waht will be the best ,
i have had bike carbys on went realy good but too many fule problems
i have had 32 36 weber went ok not so good in higher rpm
not done efi yet
any one got any ideas, not to sure what to do

also would like to find out about motorbike efi

Keep it simple mate... There is nothing wrong with carbies as a few blokes on here have done them and love it. Just be sure that they are jetted to suit and have been tuned by sumone that knows what they are doing. A set of gsxr carbies would go well, but i also know that FCR carbies are flat sliding and may give u a bit better response and a smidgen more power. Of course results will vary as it all depends on your tuner and supporting equipment like inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, etc...

i do want to stay with bike carby but just having problems with fuel
at idle the carbys shake and the bowls fill to much ( the motor as had some work and lumpy cam )
if you have any info that can help

depends on the application. EFI is expensive and fairly complicated but the results pay off for a high performance engine as you can tune without limits or going through ten sizes of jets at $$$ per set.

for EFI on a budget you could use a double sidedraft manifold and get some injector boss's tigged onto it and then fabricate a plenum chamber to bolt to the side and just use a throttle body of any old jappa EFI 1.6L or larger but if you go too big you will have mad crazy throttle response which may not be desirable.

You will need a computer. I use a megasquirt which is alright but the link computer is much more supported as far as tuning companies etc but is grossly over-specced for a datsun a-series tech engine. A megasquirt II v3.0 will be a good option.

So pretty much for EFI here is a list of requirements
~ manifold and plenum chamber
~ throttle body
~ the injectors and fuel rail
~ high pressure in-line fuel pump and surge chamber
~ EFI controller
~ wide-band lambda sensor
~ optional electronic distributor

new aftermarket computers use manifold air pressure sensors which eliminate the need for an air flow meter.

Ends up expensive but worth it in the end.

i have a twin weber manifold, but what fuel rail and injectors
the plenum is not a prob
i know the motor will do more but the carby is letting it down, not sure what to do

Yes rally1200 has.

He also has (in my opinion) one of the best knife edged crank shafts I have ever seen.

do you think they could be applied with a turbo? i sorta figured they be better than the efi hardware becuase of there size
