Hello,
My gears are really sloppy. i don't really know how to explain it unfortunately. this is my first car so i don't have much of an idea of what it could be and i was just hoping that someone could help me. when i say its sloppy i can push it in and out of gear without the clutch (when the car is off. haven't tried it when I'm moving) i am only an apprentices so i don't have all that much money at the moment and was wondering (hoping) that its just something simple that will fix it.
Appreciate any help.

Sound to me that the gear selector bush on the bottom of the gear stick has broken.Dont try to move it in or out of gear while moving as this can damage the gears always use the clutch.

yeah could be the broken gear selector bush. Also could be the washers next to the pin that hold the gear selector in. If it is, just take out the pin and put plastic washers to reduce the play. I'm pretty sure Maddat sell a kit for this if you can't be bothered finding the right washers.
