ca18det fitting into ute

hey lads
just droppped a ca18det into my ute with a maddat fitting kit but having trouble with clearence of the back of the head/rocker covers resting on the firewall, ive removed all the turbo cooler lines and oil lines that run around the back but its still sitting on the firewall.
has anyone else used this fitting kit and came across the same issues?
or how much clearence between back of engine and firewall has anyone got using this fitting kit?
any help much appreciated

Sunny’s were made to be drifted, it says so in the factory service manual: Service after every drift day and mountain tounge or 100,000km’s

i believe all the maddat kits are like that, i ended up moving the brakets forwared about 1cm so that it would clear.

i can see the logic in the motor being close to the firewall and lowish... have u noticed the engine sits slightly to one side yet... hehehe

Ive got the maddat crossmember in my ute and i dont have any issues with clearence , ill admit its close but havnt had any dramas from it hitting and thats with the hard coolent lines on and standard tunnel and no firewall mods
