I'm looking at buying a maddat tunnel and I just want to know before I start cutting will I need to brace the doorS so the car doesn't buckle / twist ...

Engineers will tell you that - yes you should brace across the floor so the car doesnt sag when you cut the tunnel out

mate i cutout a manual for to fit a auto tunnel with no probs at all....its not like your cutting away the chassis or anything

sure it can be done without bracing, but if you want to get it engineered later, then the engineer will want to hear that it was braced while the tunnel was cut out

if the engineer wants to hear that you braced it...you can just tell them that you braced it

i didnt brace any of the 3 ive done, but i usually leave a fair bit of teh stock tunnel in then tack the new tunnel over the top, then once there are a few welds on it i cut the original tunnel bits out from underneath. thats mainly to get the right overlap though
