to do the comversion it'll cost you the amount of the motor and gearbox coz its more or less a bolt in swap. as for a tidy A15 with a bit of power, i suggest you get hold of Jeff Taylor of JTS Performance. him and his brother have been playing with A-series since they came out on the market. he was gonna do the machine wrok on my A15 to pull 180hp at the wheels through quad throttle body injection and all the good shit Justin

Nice ute in Zoom - I loved it EVEN WITH the Toyota engine. An I hate toyotas (I've had about 4 of them so I should know how soulless they are). It's gonna cost you shitloads for the 1500 and 5 speed, as the 5 speeds are anywhere up to $1000 each. I was looking at selling my 5 speed (and tired 1500) for this exact reason, as I could have a CA20 and 5 speed for $800, but I have to spend nearly that to rebuild (and hot up) my 1500. The only reason I went to rebuild the 1500 in the end was my mate who runs the Datto wreckers sold the CA20 two days before I got my ute there to put it in. I could have got him to hold it for me, but I was umming and ahhing about the CA20 cos I would probably struggle to get insurance - rating 8 , then no insurance for 5 years, then try to insure a modified ute with a motor nearly twice the size of standard.... I'd recommend anyone who wants a 5 speed either buy a CA20 and 5 speed, or buy my 5 speed for the usual overinflated market price.....
