After looking at the L28 6 cyl that got the 2 chopped up Ka24DE
heads joined up by a master welder for his Zed I have to ask
would it be possible to use the Renault 807 crossflow hemi head
which is pusrod and the cylinder bore spacing is almost right on
to the A series.

What sort of problems did he come up against with the L28? Sounds possible, whats the go with pushrod spacing, cooling passages, oil, things like that?

I would need someone with photoshop skills for now to super-impose the A series headgasket ontop
for now and straighten the head picture to see the pushrod clearancing but theres plenty of material on this
head to open up the pushrod holes or sleeve them.
Oil and water dont seem an issue, where oil drainage is on the correct side of the engine and h2o
holes on the head seem to be similar. Also water can be run in both front or rear as found in different
configurations in many cars that ran radiator in different positions.
The inlet port side on top has extra section that has no water to contend with and can sit sticking out.

Its pretty close just some of the renault head holes and drainage has to be made smaller and the
valves sizes are 42mm in and 33 exhaust thanks to its "HEMI" config

Thank U David Bandido! much easier to see whats going on.
Looks very clear now that the large water passages will be an issue.
On the Ren head they are on the sides or exhaust side ends.
On the A at the front and those little ones in the middle could
probably be opened up for more h2o flow????
Any ideas anyone?

Here is another head but diff casting orob better one

i really think modding an a series head with l series valves and porting/polishing it will be much easier.

why reinvernt the head, when the e series and mazda heads have been done but the info is scarce.

If you then go on to say flow potential to 1000 hp, i dont think an a12. a10 or a 14/5 bottom end will even cope, or finding an a series gear box to cope.

interesting ideas, $$$ and practicallity persepctive- up to each person to judge.
