Um?

Putting my motor together and I've just realised it has no sleeve/tube for the dipstick. I have a couple of blocks lying around with the dipstick tube in it, how do I go about removing it and fitting it to the current engine? Please tell me it's relatively easy.

Just thought I'd ask before I went and destroyed something.

Chris

wiggle it out and use the elbow grease. could use something like no.3 aviation gasket sealant on it when you pop it into the new block or if it's staying there a bit of JB weld

Oh sweet, I'll be onto it tomorrow. Was worried I needed a heat torch or something.

Cool, had a look at the block with the tube still fitted, can it be tapped out from the inside if I use the right diameter shaft?
