rear brake cyl
Guest_
hi all,

last time i put larger rear brake cyls in my h150, i put 19mm compared to 17mm ones from standard.

i noticed the fronts locked up way more easily that the rears were to engage

im wanting to swap back to 17mm ones but cant find the right part numbers. i know h150 are from 120y and the bw ones are different. the h150 are same as h145 and h165 im pretty sure.

any one got the part numbers for them? i just want to get more brake balance back for my engeieening test. need to do 16 continious brakes to stop from 60kmh with minimal fade (within reason/specs).

changing to a larger brake master is not necessary with the 200b set up up front. just needs more balance towards the rear.

Smaller cylinders will reduce the amount of rear braking

Part numbers are in the Datsun1200 wiki. Datsun cylinders are specified in inches (5/8, 11/16, 3/4, etc.) rather than metric. But you can measure them in french measurements if you want.

It's more accurate to say they will affect the balance. Small wheel cylinders all 'round will not reduce the braking, they will rather increase the pedal travel and reduce the pedal effort.

keeping the front the same while making the rear smaller will shift the braking proportion.
