With my car i took off the weather strips along the bottom of the glass and then the 1/4 glass out.
There is a little screw inside your door rubber to remove the 1/4 glass holder and baily channel- along with a couple more screws inside your door skin. Then once thats out the window glass and winder should be strait forward.

There may be other ways but that worked for me :)

I did the winder regulator the other day and it was driving me crazy because the book says to take it out the bottom hole, not without a whole lot of bending.
So wedge the glass in the closed position, then pull the regulator arm out of the glass lift channel. The most important part now is to get the regulator then all the way to one side and down so you can get the arm from behind the vertical channel the glass runs in (this channel is permanantly attached to the door). This would mean the whole mechanism is much more easy to move around, while still being inside the door. Then you should be able to take it out with ease, not sure which door hole will be best on a 1200.
