Hey all advertising this car for a work mate as a favour. I'll put down my contact details and then forward on his to you if interested.

Pretty much it is an 85 (nearly 100% sure anyway) datsun 1200 ute. It has 239000 km's on it. Body is very straight and no rust at all that i could see and the owner claims there is zero rust in it as well. Has been used by a painter as a work vehicle until he recieved a company car over 5 years ago. since then has been garaged and taken out on weekends. I took it for a drive and the little A12 pulls up to 100 and higher very easily didnt blow any smoke and felt fine to drive. fitted with extractors and exhaust (not sure on condiotion etc). Would be a great car for an engine conversion or for restore to original. Has got mags as you can see by the pics. 13 x 5.5 i think. Interior is in average condition.

Not trying to be negative but unless it's got a CA18 in it I think you'll find that about $4000 will be closer to the mark (at best).

an original rust free datsun ute in the middle of sydney.i reckon his price is not far off the mark bud.
imo i think cutting up a 1200 to fit CA makes them worth less?

i know wat ya saying greendog but the market at this point in time pays more for ca18/sr20/4age maybe in time a stock 1200 ute will be worth #OOPS# loads more

yep that time is coming dude in sydney anyway.

so far the best stock ute i have seen sold for 10k and i would of paid'd it
but sr20 1200 utes can easy go for 20+

dont want whore up this poor dudes thread,but to late hey.yeah ur right they do sell for more in most or all cases atm.especially when done but someone with skills.but there are alot of wild(bodgy) diy conversionist(?) out there these days slapping motors in bogged up shells, putting nice paint on em and trying to sell for 20gs.what i mean is if someone has the money to throw 30gs into a dutsun im sure spending a bit more $ on an honest shell would be the best starting point.gl with the sale dude sorry!
