I require a A15 H89 or H84 exhaust manifold for my engine project. I'm in Melb. but happy to pay freight.

yes, I guess that's what I'm after. The motor is going into a triumph spitfire and I purchased a s/h set of extractors but the angle sloping towards the rear was too shallow and it fouled the fire wall. I will sell the extractors as soon as I've solved this issue. I've been told that these manifolds are 'fairly' good in terms of flow. I know that the GX manifolds are probably better, but I'm better off with the single pipe setup as room is pretty tight between the chassis and motor.

Yes GX manifolds are better and the A15 EGI exhaust manifold even moreso.

GX manifold would be even more compact than the H89 unit but they're pretty damn difficult to find. The twin tail pipe may also cause some fouling, but I'm not too sure fo the spitfire engine bay.

its a pretty poor pic of the '63 Spitfire in the shed. I'm in the process of a body off restoration. The motor's on the trolley and you can see the modified sump. The front cross member on the Spit meant I had to remove the front section of the pan and add capacity to the rear. The other 2 pics show some of the modifications to chassis and new engine mount positions. I've had the car for around 9 years, but now I'm motivated and want to get it done.

That's a tight spot. HB210 pan from Japan or USA still wouldn't fit would it?

That mid sump madness wow didnt know about hat one.
I guess looking at his pic it looks like even the
mid sump one DD wont be able to fit without mods.

Seems to be plenty of room though for headers or extractors.
Whereabouts are you in melbourne? I have several extractors
you can try to see which would be best.

I'm in Essendon. The extractors that i have sweep too far back. I was going to have a set made up. The guy said he could fit them thru, its a gap of about 125mm. He then started on about getting a plate made up to bolt to the head...etc and I thought I'd take the easier/cheaper route. Its only a round port head and I'll be running a single 45mm dellorto. I have a 5 sp. o/d box for it. Even if I use a cast iron manifold, the pipe will have to drop vertically down as the back of the motor its far off the firewall. I would be interested in seeing what you had.

That mid sump model would make the mods required much easier. The one that I had modified has been superseded. I am yet to cut up the new one until I locate a donor sump that will give me plenty of capacity.
