Hello,
I am building a Datsun 1200 ute for my stepson, but have started to really like them and am now thinking of replacing my Rodeo with one.
My question is can a Datsun 1200 ute at around 760kg tow a bike trailer with 2 bikes? the bikes would weigh about 220 - 230kg plus weight of the trailer.
Does anybody tow bikes with their ute?
Cheers
Ed

I recall the max load is 500KG, so if the towbar is solid it should be OK. I used to pull a loaded box trailer with my wagon no problems. The only thing is the handling may feel a bit hairy with the bikes.

Hi Stinky,
I have a mate on another forum called Stinky...
yeah I was thinking it could get a bit wild... considering I tow fair distances I may just have to wait until young bloke is off his P's and help him install a CA18det in his car... then drive it when he isn't looking.
Cheers Ed
