I drove through Goulburn on Easter Friday, & the following day I spent 30 minutes driving around the city without seeing a single solitary Datsun car.

It was just before sunset & several laps along the main street as well as hiting the showground & both MacDonalds produced nothing.
I just drove around to all of the places that I figured that people might go to get fed, or to camp for the night, ......... nothing.

Did someone call off the Datnats or what?

I think that some people are solely interested in the track day, so they are probably just saving it all up for today.

There was about 5 1200s at the concours yesterday, so i called it quits and staying home today.
From looking at the entry list there was only a few more 1200s entered for the track day.
I think its as a result of poor organisation and just simply costing too much.
After all there wasnt even a big 1600 turnout!

I went down for the Supersprint, met Chooie finally, sounds like a big motorbike, goes like a cut snake, met a few guys from Vic, caught up with Benny, tried to pick up any clues about SR20 conversions, talked L series to a few people, wished I could have got a car down there to run. I'd like to say thanks to the organising committee for going through with the weekend. At least it happened. Maybe some of the entrants could email the organisers with some constructive criticisms, or suggestions, like an organized Friday night cruise, or a Saturday night BBQ.
I'm sure there were informal get togethers (piss-ups) happening, but like Dodgeman found, nothing was visible. How many years til NSW gets it back anyway?

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
