ok so I need some help ,what chance is there of getting a few people to measure the rear floor in their ute , I need to know the measurement from the rear firewall to the top of the step under the seat and what year your ute is.
the reason for this is I recently made a floor for a guy in queensland(1984 1200 ute) and it's too long yet it was made from a template off a ute here in sydney. So I'm woundering if all utes are the same or not, the fronts are the same but maybe not the rear floor.
any help or input would be great.

Hi Wayne,
Is this the measurement you're after? My floor is out at the moment but the point at which the rear section of the floor pan dips down to the front floor level is exactly 340mm.
My ute is a 1975. Let me know if this isn't what you're after and I can measure the other side that still has the floor in it.

the area in the red lines is part of the Front Floor panel, which also includes the tunnel and the part in front of the seat rail.

Floor panel changed several times: 1971, 1973, 1978, 1989, 1990, + the rare 3speed and is different. After 1989 it has a bulge for catalytic convertor.

That raises a good point. I might mod mine for the cat in this position.

I might even put the ribbing back in it as displayed and it will make a perfect slow cooker for Kransky Sausages!
