If you have your stock ecu you can have it nistuned for around $600 + dyno time. Or if you have a wideband you can road tune it yourself... not that I am saying it is a good or bad thing.

The ONLY reason i would ever use a remapped factory ecu is for rego/engineering purposes. Aftermarket is so much better in everyway. You can get an aftermarket ecu to suit a ca18 from as little as $500 if you shop around and be patient. When you factor in the Nistune and a Z32 AFM + plug, its the same amount of cash to get a full aftermarket job. You then delete the AFM as a restrictor and potential fault in the future.

For a limited budget i would get the Haltech Platinum sprint 500, they are $1000 brand new, would blow most microtechs into the weeds performance wise.. I would be running mine on one but it doesnt have the 2 step/launch control feature so im going with the sport 1000 for around $1600

The Adaptronic also seems to be a nicely featured unit (Aus designed so the support should be good as well). Traction and launch control, self tuning ability for both fuel and ignition and made to interface with a lot of standard sensors..

If talking aftermarket ECU many rave about the cheap Megasquirt.

I will be parting out a efi sigma turbo in the next week or two, it has a e6k haltech in it, with loom + multi coil set up.

My CA 1200 runs a e6x haltech and its great, its easy to make a map that will start a ca, then just need a tuner to perfect it.

Im in Cabramatta West, PM me if your intrested.
