hey guys i thought i should start my own build thread about my little 1000 sedan
i bought it a couple of months ago for $1500 with 3 months rego, rebuilt original motor, fresh backyard paint job and a whole bunch of spare parts(doors, windows, reco. head). It is automatic but it is in the process of being changed.
my plans for it so far are:
-A15 fuel inected running coil packs(lagwagons old motor)
-dellow conversion bellhousing
-toyota T50 gearbox(not sure what model yet)
-maddat front disc brake converion
-maddat strenghtened clutch pedal and resevoir
-bigger rear end (hopefully(not sure exactly what yet))
-and a nice set of coilovers up front would be nice too

i have also bought myself another 1000 sedan off ebay for parts
this will take me a decent amount of time to complete as i work 6 days a week but the end result will be worth waiting for!
so far i have only had time to rip the old motor, gearbox, and tailshaft out
my next step is to dummy fit the motor to see what modifications are required to the mounts and cross member.
i appreciate any help or advice. thanks guys ill try and keep you updated

yea not sure if anyone here has used that setup, i think with that setup you have to run 14" wheels and most of us 1k owners strive to run 13" wheels with dish

yeah thats one reason for tryin to find a different setup. at the minute it has a set of 15s with 195/50/15s on the ass end and they just fit. It is at stock height and i dont think i would be able to dump it with the width and offset of the rims not to mention if they will fit on the front too. i was hoping to make it look clean and stock but low and that wont really be possible if its sitting on 14s or 15s. cant win haha

i am also wondering if a celica 5 speed T50 is stronger and a better option then any datsun 5 speed???
