Hi guys! My issue got sorted finally!! Turned out to be the engine not having an earth strap!! A wonderful mehanicnin canberra helped me out this weekend.. Now an older mate who's not very web savvy and heard the dramas aske me to find him a water heated manifold an exhaust down pipe for an a12 ute he's restoring

Glad to hear you got the electrical problems sorted.
There is a water-heated intake manifold, they are from 1981 and newer B310 Sunny. They use a 3-bolt down pipe.
There are no water-heated exhaust manifolds, as it seems the engine exhaust alone heats them quite well.

hey ddgonzal.. would they help with fuel atomisation in an a12? this guy lives down near the snow fields as a liftie and was concerned post me telling him about all the posts..

Hi Thom,
All A12s are designed to properly atomize the fuel. Different models and years used different methods but they all work well.
Snow fields are no problem for a stock A12. If your friend has actual problems with this, then he or a mechanician needs to figure out why. Is some part worn out, or did someone remove parts from the engine? Some people remove parts, mistaking them for "emissions only" and then wonder why it doesn't get the same good fuel economy or all-weather performance.

hi no the problem is is that he just bought the long motor.. but no manifolds etc.. and so he wanted me to look in to sourcing them for him on here
