I have a problem the tail shaft bushing is bad on my 1200 trans. Does anybody know where I can get a replace tail shaft? Also, the 1980 210 uses the the same trans f56w type.
Does anybody know if the tail shaft from a 210 trans fit a 1200?

That transmission will bolt directly into your car unless it is a 5 speed then you will need to make a few spacers and trans mount.The tail shaft is one complete shaft from front
to rear. the only other shaft in the trans is a counter shaft.

I race a 1200 and got tired of replacing the competition tail housing when the bushing went bad. Scott Hansen and I designed a heavy duty oillite bronze bushing for all of the A-
series tailhousings. It does require the tailhousing to be bored to accept the slightly larger bushing. The bushings are then pressed in and sized by honing. Figure on $50-$75 at
