Have your l18 block mains line bored to fit the L20B crank
Bore to 87mm for Z22E pistons (get pistons tops milled .45 mm)
Use L24 conrods shot peened prepped
Your deck clearance will be 0.100mm just perfect like L16 comp.
Youll have 2045cc with 1.547 rod stroke ratio which
will be awesome down low to 7000rpm.
Head options are plenty depends what you want and can
engineer with your ride.

Or use an l16 block with l18 crank with 240k pidtons and it effectively gives you an l17... Can't remember the rest. Super piggy where are you

The L18 and L20B use the same crossmember. Just use a suitable oil pan to match (Front, rear or mid-sump).

But depending on the mounts, it may sit higher in the engine bay meaning that 20mm of l20 hits the bonnet possibly, making the l16 or l18 an easier install

It won't hit the bonnet in a 1200.

like dd said, they are the same mount, Unless the crossmember was made by a blind retard then the L20b will still fit. you will just have to run sidedraught carbies i would imagine as its only the filter housing that hits the bonnet in my experience

L16 and L13 use the same block isn't it? i want to 'cheat' the road tax by using L13 block.
