Hi, I have a a14t manifold with 4 bolt hitches and also a gx manifold but for two bolt carbs but without carbs. I was wondering if it will be ok to use the the 4 bolt carbs on the two bolt gx manifold. Will be going on a gx head a15 block.

Thanks Geoff.

Should be okay. But I can't be sure.

Is there a reason why you don't use the A14T carbs with their own (A14T) manifold that you have there?

I don't think the a14t manifold wil line up properly with the gx head. The inlet ports look to be a bit higher up.

Thanks

Oh okay, I don't know much about the A14T stuff. You wouldn't happen to have a picture of both manifolds side by side would you?

I guess what you need is an A12T manifold.

Um I don't know about the a12t but bought th gx manifold to line up with the gx head, but it didn't come with carbs. I thought it might be ok to mount the 4 bolt carbs just using 2 bolts.

Thanks

A14T uses standard A14 head and the twin-sidedraught manifold has standard A14 oval ports -- smaller than A12GX ports.

That's it. Just remove the image width stuff.

EDIT. whoops gimme a second.

Here is the actual image link, you can tell by the 'jpg' file reference: http://datsun1200.com/uploads/photos/23468.jpg

Then when you link it in you either remove the "width=300"

so your link should look like this

img width is OK

You need the img URL (ends with .jpg) -- not the photo page URL.
