The speedo in my 1976 1200 ute reads faster then what im actually doing my speedo will read 80kmh when my gps reads 50. Not sure if this would be a problem caused by the speed sender unit or speedo cable. Ive got 12 inch tyres. Any ideas?

Normal tolerance is up to 10% fast. Yours is much more than that.

Cable cannot cause this problem. There is a gear in the side of the transmission that you can change. Buy different gears from Nissan. But first you need to know which gear you have.

See Speedometer, section "Drive Ratios"

Have you got a 5 speed gear box? Or a 4? Any other changes recently? Or have you just bought this car?
