hello there. what would be the problem if the intake and exhaust in the first cylinder do not get enough oil while the rest are fine. the engine is very noisy when i start it in the morning and it takes time for it to idle.
this is my dilemma for a long time. i already rebuilt the oil pump but the problem still there. even when i change the oil last month.
i'm thinking maybe this weekend to remove the rocker arm and clean it but i don't know how to
disassemble it.

any information about this would be very helpful.

thank you..

these engines dont have hydralic tappets so i think the oil travels up the special bolt it has on the left side of the head and brings oil to the head!

could be blocked partialy!

have you seen that no oil gets to the head?

could it be timing chain noise then goes away once oil pressure increases?

actually today we've tried to remove the rocker cover and observe how the oil behave.
on engine start the oil quickly goes to the tappets on the fourth, third and partially on the second cylinder
then in the first cylinder we notice that the drop of oil is very little.
so i think the oil is having difficulty going to the first cylinder .

we also notice that the oil light in the dash comes off after ten seconds.
could it be that the oil filter in the oil sump is blocked with oil sludge or something like that.

you want the oil light to turn off after you start the car... 5 10 sec max.

do you mean the oil on top on the head were the rocker arms are or the tappets under the push rods from the rocker arms!

i would also change the oil and filter if it hasnt for a while and also cut open the oil filter and see if its got sludge!

i see. this weekend were going to change the oil. do tune-up as well as removing the oil sump and clean it

just to make sure nothing is blocking the oil screen filter. the rocker arm.. well i certainly don't know

how to clean it cause this is the first time we'll going to disassemble it.

please shed your knowledge about this. thank you!

the last time i change the oil, oil filter. i did cut open the oil filter and it has plenty of sludge.

is that a sign that something is wrong?

i mean the oil on top of the head going down the tappets on the first cylinder (intake and exhaust) is very little.

im preety sure thats your problem thier if you found lots of sludge than its blocking a pathway for the oil to the rocker cover!

you might have to take stuff apart to clean passage ways if its bad!

their is a oil passage way from near the camshaft near the centre main bearing from were the oil goes up to the head to the bolt in the head feeding oil to the rocker shaft!

so its possible the bolt is blocked?

i would try a oil for diesel engines as it has more cleaning additives with a new filter!
