so im thinking of going sr20de in my 1200 coupe, so in the near future i might put my engine/gearbox set-up up for sale. here are the specs

A14 bored out to a 1584cc rebuilt roughly 9000 kms ago
Big Valve head 38mm inlet, 32mm Exhaust
Balanced etc.
Mazda Pistons
Yella Terra Roller Rockers
hd Push Rods
stewart wilkins extractors
Electronic Ignition
Twin 40mm Dellorto Carbs with filters
Toyota T-50 5 Speed Gearbox with dellow housing-was told it was rebuilt when i bought the car.

so its an a14 block, a15 head, a15 crank, not sure of cams but is a bit lumpy.

here is a link to my carsales ad with pictures:http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=6&R=11254708&keywords=&trecs=81&__sid=12C9E803CBF4&__Ns=pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&__Qpb=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294966615&silo=1011

so just interested in what u guys would say this whole set-up is worth

I would have to say sadly nowhere near what you probably put into it..

Honestly, considering the ebay A15 last week, injected with 5 speed and all the dyno paperwork etc didn't attract a bid at $3.4k, I would say $2.5-3k and even then only if someone really wants it..

Unless you want to give it away, save a few months more, go the SR anyway and just hang on to it..

i had a good idea of what its worth, just wanted you guys opinion. i think seperating it might be the best option at this point.

Try sell carbs motor and ignition together, probably set up as whole package

Sounds like a reasonable engine with good specs
Sadly its worth more as parts than complete
People have an aversion to parting with money up front and would rather spend twice as much trying to build what you have
But since they do it over time it doesn't hurt that much

Parts wise
Gearbox $1000
Carbs $600
Roller rockers $450
Extractors $400
Then the rest someone might go $500+

Having said that...I have a similar package and its cost me more than that...alot more.. to get there
Things people don't think about are the extras
Clutch, flywheel (possibly light) etc
If it was on this side of the country and I had some cash I'd be making an offer around $2500 complete

Old mate on about the $1500.00 price tag doesn't know his left from his right.

I reckon dattoman is about right:

Gearbox: $800 - $1000

Carbs: $600 - $900 (manifold filters linkages)

Roller rockers: $450

Extractors: $150 - $300

Stroker Motor: $650 - $1000 (depending on head, ignition, fwheel, crank work, running condition [comp ratio, comp test readings] etc etc)
