Hi guys need some help, just finished doing a ca18det conversion in my 1200 and I can't get it to start.

So far it winds over, fuel pump is working, have 12v and earth at the coilpacks but no signal to trigger them, no injector pulse or constant power to the injectors.

The ecu has power and is bringing up code 13 (coolant temp sensor) which won't stop it from starting and code 11 (crank angle sensor circuit)

I have tried replacing the crank angle sensor with a working unit and have had no luck, it has 2 wires with 5v at them with the ignition switched on.

I am running out of ideas, does anyone have any advice before I start to pin all the wiring out and check continuity.

Thanks

Also just checked the 4 pin plug to the ignition module has power to all the pins with the ignition on and the 5 pin plug has power to none of the pins. this sounds a bit sus, im guessing it should have 4 pins with power out of it and the 5th pin an earth? can anyone confirm this?

Not starting is normal..

These are some reasons:
Low battery voltage
CAS not sending pulses.
Transistor pack cooked
Voltage to coil stuffed. Some people put 1200 tacho inline and if old tacho spade terminals corrode you lose spark.

Try to always have a spare CAS and transistor pack.

check the ignitor box or the dropping resistor for the injectors. i had problems with them both a few months ago.

Im leaning towards the transistor pack, but do you know if one of the wires out of the 5 pin plug runs to earth?

Update: Still not running, found a wire I must have missed, hooked it up to power and now the injectors have power but still no pulse or spark. Will try replacing to ignition module tomorrow and see what it does, does anyone know if the injectors will still pulse with a dead ignition module? Running out of ideas
