Yes, just run it stock, with the Nissan wiring harness & ECU. 140 HP right from the factory.

Or if you are after 400HP, take a look at KA-T.org.

cheers DD will have a geez, i read the US 240SX boys are pulling 300HP out of 150 000+ mile motors. Would love to import one of these twin cam turbo motors with low miles as it would be a straight swap into my nav (hardbody).

USA got no turbo KAs -- Nissan doesn't make any. Instead guys are adding turbos. You can do the same to an SOHC KA24.

Turbo'd SOHC nearly as good as turbo'd DOHC in the KA family. By contrast for naturally aspirated, the four-valve head on the DOHC has a substantial advantage.

You can fit a FWD KA24 in your navarra. Guys don't like them here because RWD KAs are so plentiful. There are some mods you needed to make them work. The hardest part is the oil pan.

There are two RWD oil pans, and two FWD oil pans, and none of the interchange. Thank you, Nissan. So you can either modify the pan or modify the crossmember.

Read more about it in the Datsun1200 tech wiki: KA Engine Swap

yeah the navara is already fitted with a KA24E and the "bolt on" turbo option is definitely tempting as i said before the US guys are getting 300HP out of high mileage engines in their 240SX's.

just wondering what kind of dollars the KA24DE's are going for over there.

You can get 300HP out of a used KA24E too.

The DOHC version can be had for as little as $200 here. But generally they cost more like $600.
