Davo,
It's great to see that you haven't lost interest or even worse found other interests :)

We'll all have to cruise soon. Mine is getting there too. I've had to hand strip the whole car, because the painter said that sandblasting 1200s can distort the panels. It
took 6 litres of stripper, and I haven't done underneath the car yet.

Dattos Dattos !!

Isnt paint stripper kind of messy? Paint stripper can also eat away at otherwise good bondo fillings and make a big gooey mess of the old bondo. I m stripping the paint off my other
1200 using a drill operated sanding disk with #80 grit just like i did on my first 1200. It takes a lot of sandpaper, but it is almost effortless to do and leaves a smooth , gleaming
steel lustre on the panels. I used to use paint stripper, but the fumes were suffocating me.Please note, thats just my opinion.I m not looking to start a "Bitching Session"

3M makes a great rust remove disk that you use with a drill, it looks like a round foam pad. Very nice as it will take off rust and paint but doesn't grind the metal. Wear a
mask and some gloves if your going to spray paint stripper, the stuff hurts on your skin and the vapor burns your eyes. I've used the aerosol cans to strip my rims and valve
cover.
