hi i am converting my 120y that has the borgwarner diff and i got the driveshaft thats from a sunny of some sort and was told its same as 1200 so i think the flange wont fit the borgwarner diff.

is it possible to remove the flange from the auto shaft and put it back on the manual shaft? how to you remove it looks like a pressed in pin?

Thanks!

Converting your 120Y to what?

Sunny and 1200 use different driveshafts. The flanges are different also. But there were four 1200 driveshafts (auto or manual x H145 or BW60). 1200 ute used a different drive shaft yet again.

I am converting it to manual from auto. i want to remove the yoke that goes to diff end and was thinking to fit the yoke from the auto tailshaft.

but how do I remove it? i want to replace the bearing aswell even if i can remove it what do i press back into it to hold the universal joint in?

if it helps the manual drive shaft was mated to a 56A gearbox originally.

Thanks!

Get a 120y bw,one. You will find most h series duffs don't have replaceable unis.

Might be better taking auto shaft to shop and getting lengthened and balanced. or auto flange put on manual shaft.

Why not just get the driveshaft for a 120Y manual with BW68? Australian-assembled 120Ys came with BW68 diff.

Didn't 120Ys come both ways (manual or auto)? I wouldn't modify the Sunny tailshaft as it has non-replaceable U-joints.
