wtd maybe melbourne.... stumpy 5 speed box

might be needing a stumpy 5 speed for my l series.

got 3 shagged 63a possibly and one unknow left to swap in.
might no be the box but might pick up a stumpy 71b if affordable enough.

trying to decide weather to get a 63a rebuilt or go stright to r30 71b.

if you can help out pm me.

ive chatted with a few memebers and the gurus if g boxes on here.... im just putting the feelers out.

didnt you say you swapped gearboxes and have the same noise?

replace the throw-out and spigot...
eliminate those possible causes, its a lot cheaper than
playing musical 30+ year old gearboxes

yeah same noise but one i put in whines like a banshee on deceleration too.

never changed a spigot bearing before or clutch or anyhting clutch/fly related- so confidence not high aNGE.

taking the box off is the hardest/most annoying part. changing a spigot and looking at the clutch and flywheel is easy
