Just measured the height of my CA, probably pretty high

Put a straight edge across the top of the gaurds (in line with suspension tops) and then dropped a ruler down to the plenum

measured 19mm on mine

wondering if other people can do the measurement to see how other install compare

i used a custom crossmember which loosely resembles the Maddat one, main difference being the motor is further forward

How far off the sump though? That would be more beneficial yeah? See how low to get centre of gravity.
Change mounts to get it lower post sign off cough cough

Will measure mine tomorrow. Guessing atleast an inch lower than that. Ive notched the xmember and taken the middle hump out of the sump and there would be maybe 10mm of clearance.
Rocker covers are also about 15mm off the firewall

EDIT: plenum is 50mm down from the guard line measured from next to the throttle cable holder
back flange of the plenum is 110mm from the main plane of the firewall
passengers side rocker cover is 40mm from the main plane of the firewall

Im surprised with the popularity of the CADET that no one makes a wing type aftermarket setup for them

i would think cause a sump will prob cost $1000, and a whole motor costs $1000

and spending $1000 on suspension will get much better benefits than dropping your motor 10-20mm more

cost me probably $10 and a half a days work to have a modified and winged sump. given the frequency of CAs having oil starvation problems, having an extra litre of oil in reserve is well worth the cost

im using my own crossmember, coz i wanted the engine in the best position possible
