hey guys just looking for opinions on what you think is the best front suspension set up for the 1200. im looking at doin another set up and deciding whether the stanza/200b set up is the way to go or mixing it up and doin the s13 strut and control arm set up. either way going to have to make up brackets to suit calipers as i have a set of evo 9 brembos to go on.

Well s13 there's heaps of after market stuff and Coilovers and hub selection, 200b/stanza need to be shorten if you want to go super low!
Each to there own but as Datsun stuff is getting older and harder to buy/get, of you have the resources to do s13 that's the way is go but I've never done it b4

If you moded120y struts like they do for the s13 brake upgrade, wouldn't add too much width to track. But shock choice sucks

At least can use z shocks in shortened 200b stanza ones easily. There are shorter ones too

Hi Guys I used stanza front struts [girlock calipers] cut down 100mm then used r31 munroe struts then used the c20 vanette ventilated roters and calipers, trx bluebird rear discs on a 1200 ute and 7/8 master cylinder works fantastic around lakside and as daily.

thing is i have stanza struts in it now but the person who made the set up welded the caliper brackets to the strut which is illegal so i want to do it properly which means getting new struts and starting again . i already have wheels as you can see in my picture so what ever set up i end up whith will have to suit my 18 inch rims i curently am using. the caliper on the car now are r33 skyline 4 pots which work great but the struts were never shortened when built so i have next to no travel either.

why you would run 18s on the car is beyond me

but i cant imagine you have much breathing room around the wheels so going anything but another set of stanza/200b/240k struts will probably just cause more issues than its worth. theres probably no way that you would get them to with standard 1200 stuff, and they are probably a little small for what you are running

s13 stuff im not sure exactly what it does track wise but i'd think it would push the wheels out a little more than they currently are. so unless you have spacers in there that you can take out, that wont work either

why go to the brembos over the r33 stuff? surely its just getting to the point where you are just adding un-needed weight, assuming that you are also going a larger disc to suit the brembos
