Hi people.
I have a slight issue with my electronic distributor conversion on my A12.
According to the Tech Wiki the D4R dizzy's shaft is the same length as the stock dizzy's but as you can see the shaft is shorter.
Now what can the problem be, wrong dizzy? or would it be fine as it is.
I got the D4R83-36 c7602 22100 03A07 dizzy

Does it fit and spin/ mesh ok? Could you take the rolled pins out and swap the shafts if ut makes it longer.

Looks like only couple mm might be ok as most if the gear meshes

i think it would be fine but ive also seen people use a stainless steel washer between the gear and the body of the dizzy to spacer it down ,only a thin washer though

good luck!

Thank you.
The difference in the length is exactly of the adjuster plate/hold down.
I haven't put it in yet because i haven't drilled a new hole in the D4R's shaft wanted to make sure of the length first.
Will do some more matching and re post
