Just had my CA wired into the 1000 and now I need to sort out the vacuum problem for the secondary butterfly. Does anyone have any info on how solve the problem. Do I need to get some check valves and a vacuum cahamber and all of that or is there an easier way? At the moment the valve stays open and revs high at idle. The hose that is joined to the butterfly actuator is probably joined to the wrong spot. At the moment it runs off the AAC valve hose. That hose is teed into the air regulator hose, which is from the air intake. Any help would be great.

Good O. At the moment I have a fuel pressure reg hose conected to that one so I might try a swap-a-roo. They may have come off and I may have put them back on in the wrong way, Who knows. Thanks again.

Leaving power valve diaphram disconnected will leave them open.

That's good enough to get it running.

When you have time, hooking up power valve solenoid, vacuum canister, and check/restrict or valves is needed.

The attached diagram show how the system is hooked up on a turbo motor, it should be much the same for non turbo. The valve being operational or not will not cause it to idle high. Make sure you don't have a vacuum leak or a missing hose somewhere. The high idle could also be caused by the idle gear being sludged up a bit causing them to stick in the open position, there could be a split hose on any of the idle gear or vacuum hoses, the throttle butterfly maybe slightly cracked open.

This link has lots of diagrams for CA18det, some should be useful for check where hoses should connect to. http://www.impactblue.org/content/dis ... artsdb&action=sectionlist

we removed them and sealed up the holes, I think thet only help for low revs and fuel consumption, not required if racing it
