some nice driving there simon, were you a bit pi$$ed off at about 3:30 where mt s14 shut the door on you???? your eyes looked a bit angry.

was waiting for the ae86 to loose it, was he lacking rear grip or locking up rear on down shifts?

nice sound to the a12, what were you hunting around for at 200kmh? drop your sunnies or something?

Na, just a lack of balls to go through with the move! BTW, that S14 is our good friend Chooie`s. Same engine he had in his old 1200 racer.
He got the under 2lts lap record with a 1.48.2. A great effort considering its only the second time he has raced the new car.

My best was a 1.49.8. Under the old record but not good enough on the weekend.

Me looking down twice in the video was turning up the boost and then turning it back down after the engine didnt sound right. I think it was blowing out the spark at the top end.

Top speed of 228 Kmh.

haha i love it, torana sneeks through.... 'hang about, ive got more boost!'
congrats to both of you guys on going under the lap record, quite an achievement

mate, the sound, acceleration and top speed of your car just does not spell A12 at all!
what youve already done with this beast is incredible, and im sure with time you'll make it quicker all round

good job on steering it too, it looks like it can get a bit hairy in the quicker sections
do you think an lsd could tame it? or maybe it would be less predictable...?

Congrats Simon!

It seemed to loose the front end grip due to possible front tyre wear after that chooie moment? got a bit of understeer.

The sound is totally amazing (was the midrange better than last setup? sounds quite torquey from around 4-5k?) and glad you could do well in the straights. Looking forward to the evolution of your beast I reckon the Blackhawk headed A12 can wait a tad longer but Im sure the extra grunt is tempting!.

It`s not understeer. Its oversteer! The sharp corrections on the wheel are me catching the tail.

It was really hurting my speed in the high speed corners.

@ 3.41 ummmn bugger you sure lost loads of time with correcting it, can only imagine if you had good grip what your time could have been!

Chooie no longer on these boards? Would be good to hear his side of going to a more stable handling car, can only imagine if the sr20ve was an sr12ve turbo :)

Simon, whats your thoughts on the cause of high speed oversteer? Is it set up, tyres going off or boost coming in viciously ?
I've looked at the vid a couple of times and its almost as if the car is going off as the race progresses ie really strong start then you seem to fall away or is it the competition coming on stronger? Either way its insanely fast and a wee bit more refinement will make it an absolute weapon...
