Remember, the higher the engine revs to make peak HP, the lower the torque will be. HP and FT-LB figures cross at 5250 RPM. For example, a 100hp@7000 RPM engine vs 100hp@6000 RPM -- the slower engine will have more torque. And torque is what breaks gearboxes and diffs.
that's why I mentioned it only makes a peak torque at 4200rpm. Showing its an engine that needs revs to make anything happen, not a torquey motor.
1NZ-FE makes 107bhp @ 6000rpm and 103ft/lb @4200rpm. Its not all that much really.
B310 A15 makes 83bhp @ 6000rpm and 88.3ft/lb at 3600rpm.
910 SII Bluebird L20B makes 96bhp and 114ft/lb for comparison.
Maybe the H145 will be borderline, but no more so than a 80rwbhp Aseries. I've had one and never had diff problems. Hell, I've turbo'd A14s in front of H145s and not blown up the diff - just gearboxes, tailshafts and pistons! I don't think the concern about the diff is worth stopping the conversion. Try it and see how it goes. Or track down a B210 H150 for a little more strength, assuming they're available where you are.
