Hi guys are these rubbers necessary to get the bonnet in the wright position.

Yeah not really to get lined up right but to let the bonnet rest nicely and comfortable when closed

I was just thinking without these would the bonnet sit lower that the gaurdes and with them lined up propely.

Bonnet will sit about 20mm lower then guards.so yes these are needed

Not only will your bonnet line up properly with the guard trim line but you will also prevent the transference of vibration to the bonnet, long term exposure to excessive vibrations may cause your bonnet to warp, mine has now warped and is not connected to the frame. Rubbers cost nothing so best you buy them while you still can. :)
