Topgear center?
or Toyota

I've been wondering if my topgear center can be used in a 4.875 because i think they have a different crown wheel offset???

looks like you may have used a spacer?

Look again there are no spacers in there. A 4.875 has a different offset to a 4.1 they are not the same.

Nismo sold two different H165 LSD units.

38420-N5020 for Type I carriers
* H165 old type: 3.889 to 4.625 旧型
* H165B low-tooth: 3.700 to 4.875 並歯型
38420-RS110 for Type II carriers
* H165B high-tooth: 3.154 to 4.875 高歯型

So either H165 unit can use 4.111 or 4.875 gearsets.

The H190 LSDs came in two different versions which require a spacer for some ratios.

hey dd,
abit off topic,
ive got a nismo 2 way 4.875 h165 lsd diff unit that was kept as a spare during TS.Not yet installed.
seller did write high tooth.
But is there a way to confirm if its low tooth or high tooth,type 1 or type 2 carrier?
or any markings to differentiate between the two types?

sorry to go off topic
cheers

Is there any way to determine if the Differential Assembly is Type I or Type II (high tooth)? Good question. Perhaps there are casting marks on the unit. Or if the CWP/Ring&Pinion are still attached, they might have markings.

Which gearsets do the Topgear units accept? Type I gearsets or Type II gearsets?
