I have a 1200 Ute, with an A14 engine. Currently i have the original 4 speed gearbox, and i am really after a 5-speed. I was wondering if you guys know which ones will fit and what is best. 120y's or anything? that is if i can find them too

as we ask all new members cause no of them put it in their profile (maybe you should advise it Daniel or Pedro when people are filling out there profile)

WHERE ARE YOU?

to answer your question though sunny or b310 (same car diffrent names diffrent places) came with a 5-speed which will bolt straight up except you may have to modify or make your own rear crossmember for the back of the box to sit on, these are getting hard to find in Aus can cost $800-1000 in NZ will cost a couple of hundred but also thinning out and i believe they are easy enough to find in America not sure of cost

Without ever hopping too far under the car to tell, i'm guessing I have one of these. Modified tunnel and cross member.

When I get enough time I will eventually pull out the a12 sunny with the little holley and the 5 speed out and sell them!

I got tired of lying in the mud every year or so at the junkyard looking for a 5spd. The last one I pulled, I took staight to the gear shop and had them do an overhaul. They replaced the bearings and seals and its been ok for about 4years now. The last 3 5spds that blew up on me failed because of the bearings. I also dont try and launch like I'm at the drags at every stoplight anymore, either. that helps
