Hi All,

I have to weld in a new trans tunnel and my Engineer has said that I need a ticketed welder that can provide proof of qualification to complete the welding!
Is anyone able to or want to help me out? Obviously I am prepared to pay accordingly for the job. I am using the MadDat tunnel and it will be cut ready to weld. Also need some other small welding done at the same time.
Car is not moveable at this stage so will need to be done in my garage, can lift to a reasonable working height though but not on a hoist.
PM me if you can help or know of someone who can. Cheers.

I know you said your car isn't moveable so this probably won't help, but I had my ute towed to the following place for tunnel mods:

FABRAICATIONS
19 Citrus St, Braeside VIC 3195
(03) 9587 7772

They normally fit out big dollar race cars with rollbars etc. But the owner (Ray)used to own a Datto 1200 ute so has a bit of a soft spot for them.

You could also try and contact Scott (Member: Wetdrift Warrior) as he is a professional welder. But it appears he hasn't logged on for quite awhile. He's in Cranbourne but you might be able to convince him to come to you with some $$. You could try his email or if you want PM me as I may have his mobile number somewhere.

Good luck.

These are all good suggestions, thanks guys.
One problem is that I am in Western Suburbs. If I could get someone over this side of the city I would be more likely to tow. I would prefer to not have to reassemble all the front end again... and I have the diff out as well.
I might check out some of the motorsport fabrication shops around this way?
