JDM look fender mirrors

Afternoon, I'm trying to locate some nice fender mirrors for my Sunny, after some crome ones but seems they are fairly pricey!

I got some of these but they dont look right, they sit too close to the guard. I also got some black ones (from a Hilux if I recall) but they also dont look quite right.

I noticed the little beast in this thread has some nice mirrors, are they these ones on ebay?

Clearly these are the nicest but (for mirrors) expensive, unless anyone knows of somewhere else to get them?

Cheers for any ideas.

Those are stock factory 1200 Deluxe mirrors.

The eBay ones look like cheap replicas, not exactly the same and probably won't look good after 10 years like the factory ones do. But for $24 you can buy new ones again in 2 or 3 years if needed

$200 isn't that much for mirrors. Just take a look at the prices for genuine NOS GX5 mirrors, that's expensive.

So you're after the bullet style mirrors?

Yeah you are probably right. I've been looking at other Sunnys and I think the 1200 mirrors will look the best. Might just have to bite the bullet and buy them.

Personally I think those are much better looking than the bullet mirrors.

So I ended up getting those 1200 mirrors off eBay, not cheap but a really nice OEM product.

Have to mount them now, the big quesiton is how far down the quarter panels do I start drilling!! Are there any measurements anyone knows of? Or use the 'that looks about right' measurement...

This 310 has the same ones, that location seems pretty much bang on in my opinion.

Edit: ok so I found this in the wiki, might be applicable to my Sunny. So if I read that correctly it is 817mm from the quarter panel back to the main mounting hole?

Not applicable to the B310 Sunny.

Look on the inside on the fender (guard), up past the Tyre. On the underside is a notch. That's where the fender mirrors go.

You ought to sit in the seat and place them where you like. I prefer mine much further up the front.

Good work on buying those ones, you won't regret it. Also a punch is a better cleaner option if you are fussy about the finish. Drilling is okay using a pilot to begin the drill.

The large drill bit can catch and buckle the edges when drilling thin sheet metal. Keep a strong hold of the drill and keep your rpms at a manageable speed, once it grabs and you're holding the drill softly the drill will distort and ruin the hole and the paint around it.
