Hi everyone, i am a noob, just wondering if anybody would have an idea what kind of times a tomei race engine would pull down the quarter mile? I have entered similar figures in a quarter mile calculator, 1600 lbs 170 flywheel hp would do an expected 12.9

Cheers

it would be a great trip to japan, see the datsun/nissan nostalgia. I totally agree with them being the epitomes of the a series.
I wonder if anybody down under has tried to replicate the engine set up.

The Tomei rocker cover and alloy sump pan, can be had from time to time, but are almighty expensive. The real hard to get parts are the Ti [Titanium] connecting rods and high port roof cast cylinder head. I have read about them, seem pictures, but have never seen a set for sale.

There is only 1 example of a Tomei A13 in Australia that i am aware of, It was previously Feral Errol's ex Tomei power Formula 3 A13. It is mostly complete, bar the "Tomei 1300" rocker cover

Benny i did notice a Tomei rocker cover on ebay from papua new guinea, the asking for a shy $1600.
I would love my a12 to run like tomei one, i know a lot of people say don't waste your money whack a a14/a15 in it.

Well JT , everyone has their opinion and thats the beauty of this all. Do as you please. You wana go Tomei, well do it. If you put a A14, people will say go sr20. No one is the same. I think Bige had a A13 for sale not too long ago. Mite be a good start for your project. It will cost you a fair bit, but it will be unique !!
