Hello all!!

Well i know summer is approaching for some of us around the world but while the warm weather, i'm kind've fustrated as to why my heater/fan won't work...

I'm not too sure on how to approach it... no fuses are blown... but when i pull the fan switch out... i hear nothing... anyone had the same problem or may have a few ideas on this... ??

Cheers

Don't you just love electronics.

If it was mine, I would pull the blower unit out, now touch the blower leads directly to the battery. If the blower rotates, its not the blower, if it doesn't (you can guess the rest).

With the use of a multimeter, check earth lead from the blower to the car frame. Do you have conductivity? you should have.

Check to see if you have 12+ volt to the rear of the blower switch? If you don't, chase that lead back to the fuse box. Is there 12+ volt at the fusebox.

Check these, and get back to us.

don't know if this applies to 1200's,but with the sunny's there is an insulated nut & bolt which connects the wires for the 2 lower speeds which breaks, then you only get the highest setting.there maybe something similar in the utes.this is where the power wires go into the heater body.i just got a normal steel nut & bolt, say 4 mm size,& it worked.also, check the power lead to the heater switch hasn't come undone, this is a bullet connection coming from the fuse box.this happened to me,& old bull-at-a-gate went & bought a new fan switch.it was when i was installing the new switch that i found the disconnected wire.laugh,i nearly died laughing.
