Kind of sounds like a bad earth connection, check and clean all earth connections (including rear tail light earth)
Or could be wiring harness main plug to back of dash, the wiring does differ in some models.

Yes - common problem. Sedan rectangle and round dash use the same connector, but the wiring differs.

One more thing fellas. My rev gauge lights dont come on at all any ideas?
Rev gauge is hooked up and works etc earths all done

Any ideas? The bulbs might be burned out? Another idea is that the lighting power wire has a bad connection where it attaches to the speedometer.

Ive put new bulbs. And havr just tested to see if there is power and there is on my voltage tester thing.
could it still be a earth problem???
