Hey I'm getting ready to collect parts for this efi setup.

Can someone please confirm if I can run the set up just with the standard computer?

Will be a standard a15 that's ported. A12 fly wheel. Pretty simple

Cheers

Z

Yes, the Hyundai/Mitsubishi computer is designed to run that fuel injection manifold. Be sure to get the engine wiring loom, and the wiring connector to the computer. Get all the Mitsu sensors (IAT, MAP, O2 sensor etc) -- see a service manual from the state library for all the details.

Great thanks

Also should I be looking for a sohc or dohc variant or does that not matter?

Cheers

You need the 8 valve version of the 4G15 engine. Where are you? I have a manifold I started working on but never finished. I ended up building my own design. I'm in Melbourne Australia.

You need whatever sensors the Mitsu ECU uses. It depends on the exact year of the ECU.

I'm now after a 10mm alloy blank to match the inlet manifold too. Any contacts? Or will it work building up the existing material and not using a plate?

Are you planning to cut and re-weld a flange on?? Most people just port the ports. You're just making more work for yourself if you're cutting flanges off and welding new ones on. With all that plenum you'd need a professional to weld it up, adding to your costs. You'd also need to be careful not to affect the injector bosses while welding, which is just about impossible which means you'd need a professional again to weld it and machine it all back so things are clear again. By the time all that is paid for you could have bought a Factory EGI unit.

Just borrow a 240V die grinder (a real one not a home boy dremel) and use the gasket to mark up the alignment.

That lines on the Hyundai pic above doesnt look right. On mine they practically lined up ( 2 in center) and only the outer 2 needed grinding. I used a 10mm plate and grinded the inside edge of the plate to match the 2 outer ones. And they were only a few mm maybe 5mm out
