Hi everyone!
My name is Meagan, I live in Perth WA
I've been a member of this forum since 2012 and I've wanted a 1200 ute since about 2009
it is now 2015 and I finally bought myself one!

he is a 1984 model
bit rough around the edges, needs a lot of wiring tlc

so far since I've had him (about a week)..
I've got the alternator fixed... someone had cut the reg off it - had a new one wired in now charges it at 14.2v ... winning !!
removed and rebuilt the carby, replaced plugs and leads
painted the grille and side vents

a lot of plans for this little car :)
but I am in love !

I cant upload photos so I will tonight from my mobile if it will let me !!

Nice work on your ute!

You can upload photos to a photo site like Picasa, Flickr or Photobucket, then link to them here.

Or get an app for your mobile that resizes photos, then directly upload them here. The Post uploads feature can accept photos up to about 3 megapixel in size. The FAQ menu to the left! has more details..

Yeaah i know! Def looking into getting some low ! Not used to driving a car that is so high, my other car is a VZ Senator with rear bags, any advice on getting these low? Ive been looking at lowering blocks for the rear on ebay theyre for 70-79's im sure the 80-85s will have the same rear leaf setups? Currently has 120y struts(ithink) and disc brakes

It is a nice ride height now. Why change it into a rough-riding vehicle?

Or you can lower it up to two inches by fitting low-profile performance tyres. Does it still have the stock 155/80R12 tyres?

Because it will handle better and look better or just because it's her ute and that's what she wants...

Yep, that's the reasons usually given. I feel lowered is better in most ways. It also increases fuel economy. I was hoping for her thoughts.
