It's been a while since I've posted anything but I've ran into an issue with my electrical system. The issue I'm having is that neither my heater, stereo or wipers work. I know they all run off of the same fuse so I've gone ahead and replaced it but unfortunately nothings solved the issue thus far. Any idea's? I'm hopeless when it comes to electrical systems

The next step is to borrow a Test Light or a Voltmeter. With KEY ON, ENGINE OFF, put the red lead to the Fuse, the black lead to a bolt on the dash (or to the aluminum plate of the door). If it lights up, then try the other end of the Fuse. It it fails, it is still a Fuse problem. Could be that the Fuse Box is slightly corroded (bad connection). To clean the Fuse Box, see the steps listed in our Fuse Box technical article.

Thanks DD. I've given that a shot and now the heater only works on the High setting but that isn't bugging me too much for the time being (Just as long as it works). Wiper motor is receiving power but isn't turning so I think a new motor will be needed. The stereo hasn't made any improvements either however I'll tackle that last as it isn't needed for RWC.

Glad to hear.

The heater resistor is likely burned out. It controls the low speed and is bypassed for high speed. See Heater Wiring for photos and details. You may be able to twist the two ends together to make low speed work again.

The stereo likely has another fuse. The Datsun factory radio used an inline fuse in addition to the Fuse Box fuse.

Thank's again DD. I got the low speed setting going but as far as the stereo goes there's a couple of wires hanging out of the back one being yellow with a tag that has written Battery on it and another with Remote control unit or something along those lines. I'll have a look around to find the manual and work on it from there.
