Can probably help but need to confirm. I'm sure theirs 2 types of 120y struts one same as 1200 and other are in there own league the latter have a larger/thicker stub axle and therefore have a bigger nut on them.

Hey mate, i should be able to measure the stubs tomorrow. i originally had standard 1200 ute hubs on 120y struts if that helps.

"ute hubs" = 1200 drum-brake hubs. They are 5mm different than disc-brake hubs

From 1976, the ute used H74 hubs, which were introduced in the 120Y production October 1975. Prior to that the 120Y used the same hubs as Datsun 1200.

the 5mm difference disc vs drum hubs

Do you need early 1200 drum hubs? Or late 1200 drum hubs? They changed October 1975. Both are low height but take different bearings.

Remove and measure the hub bearing grease cap?
Measure inside lip
43mm - early
40mm - late

The workshop lost the hubs, bearings, bearing cap. Are the stub shafts the same size? This is really frustrating must remember to take photos of parts before handing them over

The spindles (stub axle shafts) are welded to the bottom of the strut tubes.

There are two different ones: Early 120Y and late 120Y. Each has a different size spindle and thus takes a different hub. I would examine the strut tubes for the Nissan part number.

early struts have an H50/H51 part number.

late struts have a H75 part number. The spindle is slightly larger (uses 610/180B bearings).

Is the part number near the top of the strut tube, I think it may be gone due to converting to coilover
