Hey guys,

Looking to source some Hayashi Street wheels to go onto my 1200 ute...eventually.

Looks like I will be buying them directly from Japan.

I am planning on flaring the guards but just wanted to get opinions on fitmet of the sizes of selected and roughly how much I am going to have to flare the guards.

Also tire size opinion would be great.

FRONT
Hayashi ST - 14x7 inches. 114.3 PCD. Offset +7 OR -6? Pic is of the +7

REAR
Hayashi ST - 14x8 inches. 114.3 PCD. Offset -6

Get 13's or 15's, hard to get decent tyres in 14's

Really limited to 185 60 14 or 175 65 14. Boo that.

7s are too wide for the front of a 1200, and 8s too wide for the rear.

If you fit fender flares 1" it can work.

Front: 14x7 with 0 offset

Rear: 14x8 with 0 offset

Thanks dfgonzal. I actually based my decision on your ute and I'll definitely be fitting flares to make it work.

Hayashi don't make a 13 inch wheel in a low or negative offset. Want something with a dish hence why I've gone with the 14.

They do make a 15 though but I thought it would be too big?!

My ute had 17's on when I got it with spacers and used to rub if cornering hard on tight turns... I put 15's on it not long after getting it and tried 13's but preferred the 15's personally and they fit with no issues but it just depends on when u have to register it if it's legal.

Great idea, and the Streets are good looking classic rims.

Yes, 15s are available smaller than 14s. For example these Yokohama S.drive
* 22.0" diameter Yokohama 185/55-14
* 21.8" diameter Yokohama 195/45-15

I think the 15s are called something else. Shakatoken or something like that. Same brand and style.

The Hayashi Street are my favorite wheel. One day I will own a set too. I love the way the 14x8s look!!!

that ute had the right stance DD wheels looked awesome

I like the metal flaring and hayashi idea, would look
good with that retro cream duco but thats my opinion
make it an older resto mod and spend on the running gear
wheels and other go fasts, that body is mint.

Shakotan are he copies made by Rota! Don't look as good IMO.

I've been looking at the Japanese site which is where I'll be sourcing from.

http://www.hayashiracing.com/whee01st/

They don't really have a 15 in a desireable width or offset.
