You can get low-mileage boxes off Yahoo Auctions using Rinkya, Nengun or Import Monster

The Nissan part number is 48010-H1005, worth asking Nissan but expect they will be NLA. They stopped making them in 2007

mcdat - are they offering low mileage ones for $1100 or sourcing whatever is left from newly manufactured (i.e. around 2007 as ddgonzal has indicated was when they stopped making them) and stored who knows where one? I'd genuinely be interested in buying a new one for that price, steep maybe, but I figure it'll last me till I can no longer drive the datsun!

Hey Jmac,

I emailed Endo from Bprojects in Japan and he said that he checked with Nissan Japan so i'm assuming that they are NOS.He gave me a price for 79056 Yen which is about $931 AUD then another 12-12500 YEN which is about $160 Aud for postage.Amayama also can get them or have them in their wharehouse, they do have branches in 5 different countries.Their price is $1116 plus $70 freight.

I've got literally zero experience dealing with the guys from Japan. What are they like in general to deal with, delivery times and stuff like that? I have no reason to doubt them, I just want a bit of an idea before I sink that much cash on someone I'll never meet. I wouldn't be surprised if most of those guys actually speak better English than I do too!

Hey mate,

they are very professional, easy to deal with and their delivery times are fantastic.I bought some stuff of them last week on Friday and had the items in my hands the following Monday. They don't actually list the box and column on their website but Endo said on his reply that he checked with Nissan Japan.Heres their email address.
