in the process of getting things sorted for a conversion my first question is to do with wheel offset. what offset is required datto is using 120y struts with bigger discs/calliper S13/180sx style i was told that 120y required a 20 offset rim does offset really matter. I have a set of 17inch mags on line but am affrait to buy them. they are off a non turbo r33 skyline 4stud. another thing is will they fit/not scrub i have seen 2 other utes running 17s i already have a set of 15inch trx rims but was told they are front wheel drive offset. i have got a lsd r31 skyline diff for the rear not cut down yet. will rim choice affect its cut down length. will leaf springs get in the way of widder tyres on the rear. is coil over connversion or 4link rear much more expensive. if i can run 17s i will. but will also use the 15s for track work. now wheel spacers come to mind will i need them i dont want to use them.so many qusetions i am plauged with i just want to get it right the first time. another thing is fuel set up do i need a surge tank or can 1 pump be installed into the current fuel tank if the pump is baffeled at pickup point for uniform pickup and the tank not run too low so it wont run dry will this work. or will i deffinatley need to run a swirl pot/suerge tank. if so can the/is there a low pressure high volume pump which can be mounted in the tank to save space i have sourced a swirl pot with an s15high pressure pump mounted inside the pot i would like to save as much tray space as possible. if possible not use the tray if the swirl pot can be mounted underneath the ute. i was told about using r31 tank but then there is the diellema of trying to get the fuel guage to work correctly off the tank.another thing which comes to mind is which would be a better choice for the front shocks koni gas or hydraulic inserts. can only get hydraulic for the rear and what grade of spring would be good for street/track 300lbs be to heavy or ok for street the car will be a every day driver. i have so many qusetions and any extra input is appreciated so many thing bothering me i am loosing my mind. i am on a tight budget but want a awesome datto.

um bad news

all your fears with the wheels are true

im just finding out myself, you pretty much need to figure out what brake/diff/strut setup your running then figure out the offset you need, if you want stuff to fit without rubbing and allow biggest tyres
